Herb’s passionate about software development as he serves as the build master and handles architecture for SMART. Herb has over 20 years of experience designing and implementing software, the vast majority in the oil and gas industry, where he has developed software for a number of systems including production reporting, deep water TLP and SPAR ballasting and positioning, and regulatory compliance. He has been out to several platforms including Genesis, Auger, Mars, Ram-Powell and Ursa.

Herb, who some of his friends call “Bobby Boucher”, also love’s to paddle in his pirogue hunting Pouldeau and running Catfish lines. During hunting season, you can usually find him at his Camp on Bayou Segnette.

Herb eats way too much cereal, in fact, he considers himself a cereal visionary, as he insists on certain combinations of cereals. His favorite combination is Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, and Lucky Charms. He calls it Frosted Froot Charms, you should try it and let him know how it goes after you come out of your sugar comma.
