SMART User Group

Compliance Technology Group is a software development company, with plenty of oilfield experience. However, we don’t claim to know everything about how operators perform their jobs. Operators know how to do their jobs and what tools are needed to help them do their jobs more effectively and efficiently. We know how to build the tools so that they work for the operator. We rely on operators to tell us what they need. We provide operators with a forum in which they can tell us what they need; the forum is called the SMART User Group.

The SMART User Group consists of representatives from our customers. Each quarter, we meet to discuss what works, what doesn’t work, and what else we could do to help make their lives easier. Some operators even have steering teams within their organizations that help discover and prioritize items for the User Group representatives.

SMART has evolved into an effective and efficient compliance management system because the people who use it tell the people who build it, what to build.

In addition to providing input into SMART, the User Group also functions as a sounding board for compliance issues in general. The User Group includes some of the most experienced compliance experts in the industry and represents a shared resource for all of its members.
