began in 2001 as a small software development firm with expertise specific to the Oil & Gas Industry and a single product -- SMART, an MMS Compliance Application. After bringing in an investment group with extensive oil field experience, Compliance Technology Group made significant investments into its product development capabilities. The investment helped our development team build a product that is second to none in its flexibility and reliability.

We do what we do best

As a software development company, we provide the technical expertise in developing software solutions. Our strength lies in our development group that designs and builds solutions to problems or opportunities provided by the SMART User Group, our Subject Matter Experts -- our users, straight from the oil field, for product enhancement ideas. The SMART User Group provides the opportunity for us to hear first hand about the challenges and problems faced by our customers. We work with the User Group to determine requirements and then build solutions that meet the needs of our existing customers and a wide range of potential customers.

Our User Group has provided us with many opportunities to deliver solutions.  And deliver we have. What started as a single product to solve a specific need has evolved into a complete Compliance Management System, with modules that can address every offshore compliance management need. In addition, the core of the product, The SMART Engine, can be configured to manage compliance and other needs in many other industries ensuring growth opportunities for Compliance Technology Group well into the future.

Support builds in-house expertise

While the SMART User Group provides almost all of the input for development, support for our products has always been performed in-house. Our Support Specialists’ knowledge of our products and understanding of the compliance challenges faced by our customers enable us to provide additional services for the offshore operator. Their experience managing thousands of platforms provides us with a level of expertise uncommon in the Compliance Services industry.

Yet with all this experience and expertise, we will continue to rely on the User Group for development direction. Our users know what they need and we will continue to listen to them. We will continue to rely on our software development expertise to deliver what they want, when, where, and how they want it.

A secondary data center is maintained in Austin, TX at Data Foundry. The Data Foundry facility is a Disaster Recovery Campus which includes a Tier 1 data center, temporary office space and associated services, hotels, restaurants and shopping. The backup data center is fully operational and receives daily backups from the primary data center.
